The evaporator defrost sensor (DA32000006W) is responsible for terminating the defrosting process. The defrosting process is where the appliance control system powers a set of heaters to melt any ice build up around the evaporator/cooling coil. The control system relies on an input from the defrost sensor to say STOP HEATING. If this sensor (DA32000006W) fails, this may result in the thermal fuse (DA4700095E) failing. It is good practice to replace both parts (DA4700095E & DA32000006W) but only in such circumstances where the thermal fuse is proven to have failed.
